What is NLP?
NLP is a modern psychology that was first developed by Richard Bandler and John Grinder in the 1970s. It is built in part on cognitive psychology, humanistic psychology, positive psychology, and strategic modelling.
NLP stands for neurolinguistic programming. NLP is a psychotherapeutic method based on how we take in the world around us through our five senses, and how we encode thoughts, communication, and behavior. We all have different ways of seeing the world. Understanding how encoding happens gives us the keys to change our ideas and strategies and then reach new goals.
The therapeutic techniques in NLP are proven and work on the principle that we are responsible for our own lives. These techniques give us tools to effect change, uncover motivation, and increase clarity to help us reach our goals.
